Katherine Sangster for Holyrood 2026
@kath14sangster
Scottish Labour candidate for Edinburgh Eastern, Musselburgh and Tranent.
The SNP should focus on getting NHS waiting times down rather than wasting taxpayers’ money on tribunals attacking hardworking staff scotsman.com/news/opinion/c…

On C4 News earlier - Sizewell C is a vital project for our energy security but also an economic opportunity - 10,000 jobs, 1,500 apprenticeships and supply chain investment right across the UK. This government is delivering a new golden age for nuclear power in Britain.
I understand why people ask this. I get *tons* of abuse on social media (which is fine, tbh… I’m thick-skinned and sadly it’s just part of the job). But increasingly trolls started targeting people just for being in a pic with me. And I won’t have that. So replies off.
Some friendly advice Chris. It's not a good we are listening look, to switch off replies. And why, on politics live, you debated very well.
Thanks to everyone in Portobello who took the time to speak to us tonight. Lots of conversations about local and national issues. Many people realising that Scotland needs a #newdirection and the SNP are out of ideas!

The advantage of being on holiday is you get to catch people like @ChrisMurrayMP talking passionately about the mental health crisis we currently find ourselves in.
Fantastic to be at Kirking and Sashing of the Honest Lad and Lass by the Lord Lyon in Musselburgh today. The Honest Toun has such amazing traditions that bring everyone together - as we will see this week in the Musselburgh Festival!
Billions of taxpayer's money down the drain under the SNP. Scots deserve better.
*Strongly* welcome this. During Covid, young people made the biggest sacrifice of any generation since the war. They are politically engaged and the decisions we make will affect their futures. 16 and 17 year olds should absolutely have the right to vote!
16 and 17-year-olds will be able to vote at the next general election in a major change set to “modernise UK democracy”, the UK Government has announced. holyrood.com/news/view,mini…
