Last week I got a concussion and eleven staples in the back of my head. [I'll be OK.] Almost a week later, I *still* haven't had any reply from my @onemedical PCP or medical team to my messages. One Medical has gone to absolute crap, they still charge a premium for this?!
Did you know you can personally sponsor #WordPress contributors & help advance the #OpenWeb (even if you don't have the time or ability to do so personally)? Check out github.com/aurooba/sponso… to find lots of folks like @aaronjorbin @karmatosed that are actively leading releases!
we've got big plans for 2025. turns out being quiet for 20 years gives you lots of time to build cool stuff. follow along if you want to own your digital identity

This is going to be pretty darn useful 🤩

100% this. Then man is trauma surgeon and has contributed SIGNIFICANTLY to WordPress is his spare time. He’s one of the kindest, funniest and most patient man in the whole project ♥️ The only upside of him not contributing to WP is that i might persuade him to knit for charity ♥️
If asked for a WordPress hero, it would be Andy. He has done so much for the community around updates. In his SPARE TIME! Spare time as his day job [checks notes] is a trauma surgeon.
I have a phone alarm with the label "OSAKA! NOW!!!!". I created it to be sure to wake up for our honeymoon, and now—seven years later—I realized I haven't ever deleted it, so it'll also be the alarm to wake up for our train BACK down to Osaka for an anniversary getaway. ☺️
Josepha's leadership is one of the reasons I am an active contributor to WordPress. I am exceptionally pleased to have had the opportunity to work with her over the years. Good luck with whatever comes next, Josepha.
It's been a beautiful and transformative nine years, WordPress. I'm never at a loss for words, but let the main thing you hear be "Thank you"! josepha.blog/2024/10/04/tha…
I am super excited to see WordPress move towards client-side media processing! Doing this server-side, as WordPress has been doing all this time, has so many limitations in both functionality and reliability, this will be a game changer.
At WordCamp US I had the opportunity to share my vision for client-side media processing in WordPress. This is about bringing media capabilities from the server to the browser, for improved UX and performance. Here's everything you need to know ➡️ pascalbirchler.com/client-side-me…
Agency #WordPress plugin developers: what are your favorite GH Actions build workflows? (Especially for plugins which aren't hosted on the core plugins dir for whatever reason) #WP
agreed. heard lots of similar feedback about #wcus showcase day. solid.
Despite some other controversies dominating post #WCUS talks, I think the real game-changer was the new showcase day. I think this should be the majority if not the entire focus for flagship WordCamps like US, EU and Asia. Benefits? - Refocuses on real-world solutions -…
Love the battle format but agree it could use even more hype. Websites Done Quick, anybody? 🏃♀️ #WCUS
