Today we honor St. Mary Magdalene, apostle to the apostles. A beautiful model of repentance and love for Christ.

With journalist Diane Montagna’s publication of the alleged concluding section of the DDF’s report on the bishops’ survey, it is now hard to see how the suppression of the Latin Mass was done in good faith. | @LMSChairman
“Above all we must focus on Christ, which in the Eastern Liturgies is achieved by turning to the East, from where He came, comes, and will come. This cosmic and eschatological dimension is key to divine worship. The orientation of the priest ad Deum (towards God), towards the…
"The character assassination directed at Catholics who merely wish to worship as their predecessors did, was a greater threat to the preservation of the Traditional Mass than the impediments to its celebration introduced by Pope Francis." —@LMSChairman firstthings.com/pope-leo-and-t…

In one diocese of the Roman Catholic Church it is against the rules to say the mass ad orientum. In another, it looks to be fine. Why can the Pope say mass ad orientum but a priest in Charlotte can’t?
A Catholic Church in Connecticut recently transformed a parish kitchen into a beautiful Eucharistic Adoration chapel. This is how we renew the Church.

Today is the feast day of St Bonaventure (+1274), one of the greatest medieval doctors of the Church - and a great spiritual master.
"As "pride is the beginning of all sin," (Eccl. x, 15) so humility is the foundation of all virtue. Learn to be really humble and not, as the hypocrite, humble merely in appearance." - St. Bonaventure

A joyful moment from a summer baptism at St. Lawrence. Please pray for all newly baptized children and their families as they begin their journey in the faith! 📍St. Lawrence FSSP in Harrisburg, PA
