Spending a bit of time in NE Ohio at the moment and enjoying seeing the range of birds here, like bluejays and cardinals. We just don’t get birds that colour in Scotland! Willow and I also met a skunk last night, but the less said about that the better..

On this day in 1801: The first ever Burns Night took place. It was held by Robert Burns' friends at Burns Cottage in Alloway (now a museum). They celebrated his life, ate haggis and quoted his work, on the fifth anniversary of his death.
