A few people have asked... I am pretty confident that this DOES NOT INCLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS SPACS for end retail investors... rather it includes the fees he collected for launching them and the gains from liquidating the positions after dumping them on retail.

Perhaps the “companies” were actually the US-based marketing / distribution / admin departments for the people actually making the product. They just didn’t know it yet. Hopefully not a microcosm of a larger reality, but it doesn’t feel great.

Dead Deal File… 2015 - after a bidding war - $DLTR paid ~$7bn cash for Family Dollar & diluted shareholders ~13%. Today FDO is sold for $1bn. DLTR share price lower now than in 2015. Before this disaster, DLTR compounded >20% for 20 years, earning shareholders >50x.
Wow? Yeah. Just not the way you think.
