One of my earliest videos on YouTube was a store promo for Transformers The Movies release on VHS in Japan. While the bulk of the tape was the same as Matrix Forever tape it did contain footage of one of the 1989 charity screenings.
Kunio Okawara is often known for designing Star Saber, but Scorponok is a creation of his that most don't realize is an Okawara design!

Kazuma Kaneko (artist on Megami Tensei/Persona) was an animator on several G1 Transformers shows prior to joining Atlus, including the first series, Scramble City, and Headmasters. He was also a TF fan, going off of his Beast Wars fanart. Not 'ridiculous' but kinda neat.
