The profession of coaching gives you the highest of highs, the lowest of lows and everything in between. Despite all of this, we sick and twisted few, keep coming back again and again.
Not because of the gameday environment or competition on the field. Because of the reasons I mentioned: distractions outside the game and travel distance.

Being a father to three is one of the joys of my life. Close behind is being coach to many more each and every summer/fall. It brings all the joy, struggle, frustration, fun, heartache, & satisfaction a dad could ask for. Keep it coming. Wouldn’t trade either for the world.

The Ranch Fire in San Bernardino is 4,000 acres and growing. Meanwhile, 5 of California’s 14 National Guard fire crews are understaffed… because Trump deployed them for a political stunt in LA. This isn’t just illegal. It’s dangerous.

The HS state playoff system in CA isn’t good. Too many schools with too many variations amongst them all to place them properly. @CIFState just needs to stop after Section Championships. Start the season later (avoid heat issues, state playoff disparities, etc.).
