My take on #2XKO is they just need to release the game. The gameplay is not the selling point, it’s the F2P and heavy social aspect that will carry it. Put it out as a “Beta/Early Access”, and develop the gameplay alongside the community with frequent updates based on feedback.

This is still insane to me. If I was a 20-something year old Fighting Game player with time, I’d grab 1-2 of my Discord buddies and start grinding SamSho. The game is not hard, fun to play, and has a very low player count (62 people at EVO). Qualifying is VERY possible.
