Let’s be clear. As we celebrate July 4th this year, it is not patriotic to throw 16 million Americans off the health care they have. No member of the House who votes today for this disastrous bill should be re-elected.
The BBB is pure corporate welfare. Blackrock and Palantir CEOs must be thrilled. 17 million Americans will lose their health care. 18 million kids will lose their school meals. 3 million families will lose food assistance. And $3.5 trillion will be added to the deficit.
Although there were some conservative wins in the budget reconciliation bill (OBBBA), I voted No on final passage because it will significantly increase U.S. budget deficits in the near term, negatively impacting all Americans through sustained inflation and high interest rates.
This Congressman literally dumped stock in a Medicaid provider company right before this bill came to the Floor. Don’t be fooled—these guys know exactly what they’re doing.
