The theory of change that if people around the world make demands of their states to stop something and change course—which reasonably people tell themselves is operable—has been shown through the Palestinian cause to be nonexistent. We should reckon with that fact.

the so-called left in the united states is finally having a slow, painful conversation about what its actual goals are for the first time in 50+ years. at heart is a contradiction between the ethical demands of anti-imperialism and the desire to build a kinder, gentler amerika.
idk man, i respect the desire to raise consciousness off of this but the world can’t wait for the amerikan people to go through 20 iterations of AOC before something gives. can’t keep doing 2016 politics when 2020 and 10/7 happened, or worse yet regressing given the opportunity.
