This is a serious one because nearly half of Black teachers were fired specifically by white administrators who came in to enforce The Plan.
If we accept that the forced expulsion of Black teachers after "integration", and the invasion of Black schools by white (mostly female) teachers were tactics of counterinsurgency, if we understand the K-12 school as a carceral nexus, we might be having different conversations.
