When parking, there’s some simple steps you can take to help us save lives 🙏 Please always consider: 'could an ambulance get through?' Do not park too close to the rear of an ambulance as crews may need to operate the tail lift. #MotoristTips #HelpUsToHelpYou

Last meetings, emails and business for #TeamWAST complete as my last day after 7 years concludes. You know it’s real when you leave the team WhatsApp group. 🫣 Excited to join the fabulous team @Ldn_Ambulance on Monday as CEO.
With @metoffice warnings issued for thunderstorms in London this weekend, please take extra care when travelling. We see a rise in 999 calls about breathing difficulties during this type of weather so remember to carry your inhaler / any medication you use.
Had a productive visit to @NIAS999 today meeting the Northern Ireland Health Minister with @AnnaParry12 chatting about violence and aggression against ambulance staff and operational challenges and improvement.

In short, WAST passe <4% of all 111 calls for response last month, that’s broadly a third of the 🏴 average. At the same time our 111 Call Handlers are resolving 3-4% of all 999 calls with the system. I would say it’s the very definition of a ‘win-win’ for patients & our people.
Whether you are at events like #Wireless2025 and #Wimbledon or have other plans in London this weekend, please take extra care in the sun. With the @UKHSA / @metoffice heat warning now upgraded, follow the tips below to help us save lives.
