The purpose of this thread is to keep track of the number of Y/A projects that don’t have a black actress as a lead. Will be updating as we get more casting news. #Wherearetheblackgirls

For months it was “who is going to watch that,” when it came to Ironheart. I couldn’t take the negatively seriously because I knew the right audience was going to find the show. The love outweighs the hate. 🦾❤️🔥
One day people are going to stop underestimating the power of black fan girls. We literally work with the scraps we are given. These past couple of months have proven we deserve more and that we should continue to demand more.
black girl led 🤝 doing numbers yall gonna figure it out REAL soon.
‘IRONHEART’ debuts at #6 on Nielsen Originals streaming chart. The show has 526M minutes viewed across just 3 episodes, between June 23-29.
leah sava jefferies is so important to her generation of black girls i hope she knows that and feels it.
It’s so crazy how Where are the Black Girls is almost a year old and has aged so well. Hollywood is proving time and time again that they don’t care about casting black girls. They tried to fight me but I ended up being right.
The rollback of DEI is disproportionately effecting black woman in all industries and Im sick of it.

if “they shouldve added a black girl” or “they couldve recasted a black girl” is controversial to you. im begging you to look within and examine why you hate the idea of black girls being included.
I need a Big Boy x Olandria edit Thicker than smoothies Only ever see this type of shit in the movies Only ever see this type of shit once in your life So don't get caught up on it Cornbread fed, boy, I'm brought up on it
I don’t have to make it about race because it will always be about race. The way people get upset when a black actress is cast. The way black women aren’t being cast in y/a projects. The Emmy on screen diversity taking a hit. These are uncomfortable but necessary conversations.
First it’s we are obsessed with swirl and being in white spaces now it’s us begging a black man to cast a black woman. You can’t win in these streets.
