stoked to announce today is the first day of my 30s And tomorrow is my first day at Vercel I’m joining the customer community team to help you ship faster, break fewer things, and turn your feedback into features Everyone can cook. Let’s make 1000 chefs
today would be a weird day to announce a new job so I'll wait until next week
Cursor needs to learn to look at the existing running terminal when it’s in context instead of trying to spin up a new one every time
Why is "npm run dev" @cursor_ai's kryptonite?
v0 has 3 places where you can customize the output account/project instructions are attached to all messages - set coding style, libraries, etc sources are only added when relevant to the message - all your llms.txts - routes.txt - design-systems.txt community.vercel.com/t/custom-instr…
The latency between even two "nearby" regions like us-east 1 and 2 is ~18ms. us-east-1 to us-west-1 is closer to 60ms. This advice is spot on. Do yourself a favor and keep your database in the same region as your other infra. Better yet, same AZ!

Do AI models get "dumber" over time? I can see why it might feel that way. But there's actually a simpler explanation: context! Understanding what context is and how to manage it will help you get higher quality output from models. And it's actually more approachable to…
new React Compiler docs have landed! thank you everyone for the feedback.
i'm rewriting all of the React Compiler docs: github.com/reactjs/react.…. would love feedback from the community!
This is “stripe elements” for drop in cookie banners that don’t annoy your American users with EU legislation
Join us Tuesday for a Vercel Community Session about one of the web’s most frustrating performance issues: slow, bloated cookie banners 😬 @BurnedChris will join @paulienuh and I to show how @consentdotio makes consent management quick and easy 😌 community.vercel.com/t/community-se…

Oh you’re a designer? Name every layer
I want to publicly apologize to my fellow designers. From now on, I’ve started naming my layers, using components, and, most importantly, embracing Auto Layout. Have a wonderful weekend!
Code quality in @v0 is all about context management - Use fork like "new chat" - Ask it to explain existing code before writing new code - Keep bad code out of message history - Re-rolling will not save you - Do not abuse the robot community.vercel.com/t/improve-v0-q…
this was my first ship in v0 now I don't have to wake up to letters from people who accidentally deleted their projects and want them back
You can now restore deleted chats. Find them in the Archive tab for up to 30 days.
Finally got my @v0 MCP server deployed to @vercel and successfully implemented the custom OAuth flow (to just just API key exchange). At this point you can pretty much AMA about: - @v0 sdk (Maybe not as knowledged as @ctatedev tho haha) - Deploying custom OAuth to @vercel -…
Update on the @v0 MCP server I'm building: - Can list and save resources from chat - Session management is now properly in place (@DrizzleORM 🤝 @supabase 🫡) Next: - Add the @shadcn command to fetch the whole chat as an optional command to bootstrap the local project - Create…
This is exactly what my next js code looks like
React Router now has support for React Server Components We're introducing a more powerful RSC-powered Data Mode that brings most of Framework Mode's features to our lower level library APIs
Otel but it’s only wide events
If I didn’t have better things to do I would just build a real alternative with semantics that people actually want. I’d gut all the specs and just focus on that and trace propagation. I’d avoid the game of maintaining bloated, poorly designed SDKs.
I wish Canada had good cards
i think its time to break up with my sky miles card. the annual fee is like $700 and they're constantly removing benefits. if there's a card you love lmk!
