Men and women are co-heirs with Christ now. Men and women will together be co-rulers with Christ in the eschaton. We are all “sons” in the legal logic of scripture. IMO, all that’s reason enough to seriously question any sacralization of gender hierarchy among Christ’s people.

I think “I like this better” is a perfectly valid for someone to change denominations. Just know that your impulse to switch, and your ability to do so, is rooted in Baptist ideals. We’re all Baptists now, baby.

If you give up being a Baptist, you give up one of the biggest perks of being Protestant--being punk rock. Baptists are the bad boys of Protestantism. You stick it to the clerical man, you can do whatever you want theologically--I mean you can really let your freak flag fly.
