a SUPERMAN movie should be a fairly even balance of these two feelings.
definitely kicking the hornets' nest here, but now that we've got such a wonderful direct comparison, I'm absolutely gobsmacked that *this* was what Superman looked, sounded, and acted like onscreen as recently as 2016. truly miserable stuff!

What I love about the cinematography in SUPERMAN and 28 YEARS LATER is that they both look NEW. Maybe some of it feels wrong for a moment, but only because your brain has no reference for it. Familiar is boring. This is punk as hell.
