The Under Secretary of the Department of Defense for Personnel and Readiness is a critical position that must remain apolitical for the sanctity of our democracy. Anthony Tata's confirmation is an affront to this value and a danger to those he is meant to represent.
By a vote of 52-47, the #Senate invoked cloture on Anthony Tata to be Under Secretary of the Department of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. The vote was party line with Senator McCormick not voting. The Senate now stands in recess subject to the call of the chair.
