The HCC recently postponed our sickle cell event due to a measles outbreak in Merseyside, which tragically caused a child's death. @AlderHey wrote an open letter to explain the situation, which can be read here - bit.ly/410dZLy. We hope to rearrange our event for Autumn.

Our HCC Sickle Cell Patient Event on 19/07/25, at Alder Hey Hospital unfortunately is postponed due to a measles outbreak. We apologise for any inconvenience but we had to prioritise safety. It will likely be rescheduled for Autumn 2025. New details coming soon. #SickleCell
