Hackney has received £20 million to redesign Amhurst Road and Pembury Junction. It will look nicer than it does now. The bus gate on Amhurst Road is welcome and ambitious. Sadly, the rest of the choices prioritise aesthetic over safety, mixing cyclists with buses.
What a day for it! We love summer, free breakfast, Hackney and cycling in London!! Thanks to the HCC crew for helping, Brenda for coordinating and everyone who stopped by! Lovely to see you all. 🚲🚲🚲 @Streetfilms @willnorman @SarahWoodberryD @AnntoinetteBra1 Anya Sizer

We have a stall at this Sustainable Hackney event this Sunday, 20 July. Come visit us and the other stalls at St Paul's Church, Stoke Newington Road. 2-5pm.
Shouldn’t planting beds have been built into the paving here @SarahWoodberryD like in the plans? The last thing we need is another big area that a vehicle can #pavementpark on, especially when the road surface is raised as part of the planned speed table. Thanks for checking.🌱
📺 Treat yourself to a highly enjoyable 10 minutes! (Also loving the @hackney_cycling cameo 👋) youtube.com/watch?v=OunBRd…

Saddened to hear a cyclist was injured on Kenworthy Road. Nearly 2 years & a few meters from where Harry Webb was killed... yet TfL have done precisely zero. Everyone knows it's dangerous. If Vision Zero is to mean anything, we need action! Sending best wishes to the cyclist.
Yesterday there was another serious collision on Kenworthy Road involving a driver and a cyclist. How many more KSIs until @TfL take action and make this road safe for cycling? #VisionZero @SarahWoodberryD @mayorofhackney @willnorman @CarolineRussell @ActionVZ @hackney_cycling
It shouldn't take a death for action. This is clearly not a safe cycle route as in its current designation (I say designation as it was never designed for cycling). We need to hear what @TfL are planning to ensure there is never another casualty or fatality on LCN 8. #VisionZero
🔓After having his bike stolen, David thought owning one would be a thing of the past... Now, thanks to @TrekBikes, he's been able to get back out on two wheels! 🏢 However, lack of safe storage options forces him to keep the bike inside his flat... Here's David's story 👇
