I fear it's going to take a very long time to reset relations between Thailand and Cambodia after the fighting is done - at a time when an increasing number of crises require transnational cooperation.

This is probably the most grounded reporting on the #thaicambodiaborder I've seen so far from the Cambodian side - solid work from @CobytHobbs. We'll never know who really shot first and far more important is how the fighting is affecting everyday Cambodians and Thais.

Excellent thread by @DrLeeJones. This point is vital. Both regimes in #Cambodia and #Thailand are struggling economically and politically, and this distraction serves a purpose. For #Cambodia watchers, I'd add that the conflict reveals how firmly @hunsen remains in charge.
