To boil down this conflict to be just about the temples is dumb AF if not, dare I say, orientalist. It reduces the perception to “oh look at these silly Asians killing each other over a bloody stupid temple!” It’s obviously more complex than that.

Seeing some Thai media outlets are starting to post in English now...and it appears AI tools have been used to translate them. I'm not saying they're fake, but some precaution is needed when reading them - especially now! The original texts were written for a Thai audience.
