A tornado on the horizon in Clear Lake, SD from June 28

Spent the day tracking down some Lake Superior agates in Minnesota

Lightning illuminating the bell shaped mesocyclone that was responsible for the Enderlin ND tornado from June 20

Some pretty colors on this storm in Colorado from June

A year ago today I had an awesome chase near Barney, ND. In a summer where tornadoes were a little harder to come by, this was easily one of my favorite chases.

The colors and light as the Gary tornado first condensed were dreamy as can be 👌🏻

Little throwback to one of my favorite shots I’ve ever taken of this cute little supercell over some flowers in Dalhart, Texas 2023

Thank you, June. Let’s see what July has in store. 🌪️

Although completely overshadowed by Gary the following day, this twister near Bismarck on 6/27 was pretty mesmerizing

Lightning strikes as the Gary tornado begins to rope out and a new wall cloud takes over. Originally thought I blew this shot because it had slight motion blur but I was able to salvage it in post. 🕺

Beautiful supercell west of Bismarck on 6/27 shortly before producing the first tornado of the day

This moment has lived rent free in my head for the last two days and I don’t think it’s leaving any time soon

The Gary, SD tornado crossing the road as a stout stovepipe after it got its wiggles out.

Yesterday, Junec28, 2025, @JustonStrmRider, and I documented several tornadoes near the communities of Clear Lake and Gary, South Dakota. Thread with some photos we took. Going to be working a bit on the long format YouTube video. #sdwx
