My thanks to every resident and NHS worker that signed our petition & supported our campaign for more A&E beds at Northwick Park. More importantly, thank you to the incredible staff at Northwick Park past & present, (1/2)

The appalling scenes in Gaza are unrelenting. The UK will pull every lever we have to get food and lifesaving support to Palestinians, and we will evacuate children who need urgent medical assistance. This humanitarian catastrophe must end.
Delighted to visit @aizlewoodsmill to give the Fair Care Certificate to Emma Back and celebrate the upcoming retirement of Alan Dootson. Over a 60-year period, Alan has made extensive contributions to the Cooperative Movement, and I wish him the best in his retirement.

🚨 I’ve written to Sir Mark Rowley to urgently raise my concerns over the proposed closure of the public counter at Harrow Police Station. At a time when trust in policing matters more than ever, we must protect face-to-face services in South Harrow.
Great meeting @TimcoMucunski to discuss next steps for the UK-North Macedonia Government-to-Government agreement signed earlier this year, that will ease the delivery of critical infrastructure projects, strengthen bilateral trade & drive economic growth for both our nations.

The scenes emerging of a London-bound plane carrying many British nationals crashing in the Indian city of Ahmedabad are devastating. I am being kept updated as the situation develops, and my thoughts are with the passengers and their families at this deeply distressing time.
Nearly a quarter of a million off NHS waiting lists. Lowest level in two years. And the first time they’ve fallen in April in 17 years! Lots done, lots to do. We’re delivering our Plan for Change. I won’t rest until the job is done.
It has been my priority to speed up the delivery of compensation to victims, and this figure is a testament to the work being done. We recognise, however, that the job is not finished until every postmaster has received redress and will continue working at pace to achieve this.
£1bn of financial redress has now been paid out to Post Office Horizon Scandal victims, more than quadruple the amount paid out up to July 2024. There is still more to do. The work continues at pace to ensure every victim gets the redress they are due: gov.uk/government/new…
