I am happy that the erroneous late fee has been recognized as a mistake, and has been waived. Now I’m calling on the City Clerk’s Office to restore my name to ballot, given this result. This isn’t over. We’re waiting patiently and with hope.

Grateful for our residents who want the opportunity to choose who they elect as their council member.

I’m holding a press conference this Friday at 1:00 PM at Clark Park in Detroit to demand that our wrongful disqualification be reversed and to give Detroit voters a chance to have their voices heard. Come show your support—we can’t do this alone! We followed the law.

Their statement is incorrect. We filed on time on October 25th and have their own documentation to prove it.
