@floppsieian
Unto yourself (and others) always be true - otherwise what’s the point
Well that went well didn’t it - perhaps that’s why borrowing and gilt yields at historic high and way beyond the @trussliz mini budget! Note @afneil @LiamHalligan @Dominic2306 @TiceRichard
Next budget is crucial. I hope this report and Lords’ Economic affairs committee one will persuade HMT that we need more investment .Markets will not be scared by dropping nonsensical rule that debt ratio must fall in year 5 irrespective of what happens in years 1-4.
Had a chat to a crown court judge today - she didn’t know about NCHI or the limiting effect of the OLSB If judges don’t know then the GBP are blissfully unaware @AllisonPearson @GoodwinMJ @SarahForRuncorn @ZiaYusufUK @TiceRichard @RobertJenrick
Is Glasgow the only city with pro immigration marches and no anti immigration people? If so then @YvetteCooperMP you know where to ship all the illegals arriving from France!
Sorry Poppy You said of course we did have free speech in the UK passing up the opportunity to advertise the numerous hate speech incidents and the two tier sentencing. You also allowed Ayeshah Azarika to call Lucy a racist! I agree with @DaveAtherton20 you need to up your game…
Wow! It really is amazing that this goes by without even being reported by the legacy media. Makes a complete mockery of all those institutions IMF, OBR, BOE and the CBI who rubbished @trussliz when gilt rates and borrowing were lower. Seems only @elonmusk @afneil and…
This from previous Cabinet Secretary and the FT. Is it any wonder borrowing and gilts now at an all-time high? Note @afneil @LiamHalligan @trussliz @Dominic2306 @TiceRichard
Ditch the last government’s absurd debt rule and invest to grow ft.com/content/b6dd40… via @ft
This from a previous Cabinet Secretary so if you’re scratching your head to try to understand how we are in this total immigration mess that is not being addressed, just note there were and are very senior people at the heart of the government who want MORE immigration and…
Worth recalling the views of Gus O’Donnell, former most senior civil servant to reveal the threat within to this country, “When I was at the Treasury, I argued for the most open door possible to immigration,” he said to David Goodhart. Why? “I think it’s my job to maximise…
Good and yes the swamp is very deep and wide However you need to build bridges with like-minded people because they will be as obstructive as the blob As LJB said “Better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in.” @RupertLowe10…
@FraserNelson and @TimesRadio miss the point - crime recorded is not crime committed and fraud, shoplifting and burglaries are mostly not even recorded now as notifying the police is a waste of time
Exactly Matt But with politicians and pundits (including yourself) looking a DAILY polls what chance any party seeking re-election will apply the medicine ? The reckoning will indeed come but only after the culprits have left the stage! @elonmusk @afneil @LiamHalligan @trussliz…
Did someone say we need a Milei - see below we’re going in the opposite direction! @DanielJHannan @DPJHodges @afneil @LiamHalligan @trussliz
This is a very serious problem. We underpay Ministers and senior civil servants as Max Hastings points out in today’s Times. For a better model look at Singapore where the relationship between Ministers and civil servants is one of mutual respect.
Even the @bankofengland are calling it the "LDI crisis" of 2022 and have admitted it was their their fault. But it wasn't as bad as Gilt Yields now under @RachelReevesMP. Where is the outcry from the mainstream media and the economic establishment? They are all complicit.
Just that additional borrowing - the forecast overshoot - is equivalent to levying another three pence on the basic rate of income tax. That’s one reason why the UK’s ten-year gilt yield – what the government must pay to borrow for a decade – has risen by around 0.75 percentage…
Not just the US - how about the UK ?
“For some reason, the legacy mainstream media just ignores the fact that America is going bankrupt like crazy, at a rate that is unprecedented.” Elon Musk
As UK borrowing reaches an all-time high, 10 year gilt rates at all-time high, inflation taking off again and riots breaking out on immigration, I can’t help recounting how the respectable media class saw it last year and Labour duly followed his advice! @afneil @LiamHalligan…
“For the first time in many of our lives, actually Britain looks like a little haven of peace and stability” Political commentator Andrew Marr says Britain’s newfound "stability" will “draw money" into the country, but ultimately, labour will have to raise taxes #bbcqt
And the LDs want to keep NCHI - as if the police didn’t have enough to do or free speech isn’t already restricted!
I'll admit I've self radicalised on immigration I was a pro immigration political liberal who voted remain in the EU referendum I am married to an immigrant and most of my friends are immigrants or not even in the country I want the gates pulled down hard on this experiment…
The nonsense of the LDs Lets increase Aid and Defence - stand firm on net zero expansion - with no idea how it will be funded or how to tackle UK huge debt mountain Complete naivety on the misuse of aid and corruption. Giving aid to Singapore- richer than UK per capita - and UK…

My response to my MP whose LD party supports retention of NCHIs (as a good use of police time) ‘It does seem odd that your concern about policy efficiency and public safety is not matched by policies that address this prioritisation. By its very nature a NON CRIME incident is…
Why does @montie get on so many mainstream programmes (bbc, Sky, etc as the ‘right’ spokesperson Is there a shortage or what?
