From mountain hiking, OCR, open water swimming, gym, getting up at 5am to get into the office for 7am on a Sunday (the day after returning home from holiday) because I loved my work so much to … barely functioning. Don’t ever think it can’t happen to you 😷

Like so many other performers and athletes, they have allowed Covid to steal their source of income. Justin Timberlake slammed for barely singing during Romania concert: ‘I want a refund’ nypost.com/2025/07/24/ent…
Are you sure it's nothing? Getting COVID over and over again isn’t just inconvenient — it can have real, lasting consequences. Even mild or symptom-free infections can silently cause damage to your heart, lungs, brain, and immune system. Over time, repeated infections increase…
Covid? How come you don’t mention it anymore @UKHSA? Is it because you like pretending it’s a winter only virus? That isn’t airborne.
Think the common cold spreads fast? Measles is nearly twice as contagious, and far more serious. ⚠ Unlike a common cold, simple hygiene measures aren’t enough to slow it’s spread. The MMR vaccine is your best protection. 🛡 🔗 nhs.uk/MMR
The PCR positivity map is out. National positivity is up another 0.3 to 6.3%, and in my view that figure is certainly lower than the actual level. I'll explain why in what follows. jamestindall.info/skeuomorpholog… 1/8

“Some vile virus” It’s such a mystery why/how she’s caught covid huh?

There is a decorum to being sick that no one talks about. You are allowed to be ill but only if you are quiet about it. Gracious. Inspiring. Not too angry. Not too messy. Never inconvenient. You can be in pain but do not talk about it too much. Do not show how it’s destroying…
Found dead in the pool last fall. Postmortem exam confirmed no drugs or alcohol, but he had a very large heart that would have meant that "he was susceptible to heart arrhythmias" The coroner concluded the manner of death was accidental drowning. people.com/cause-of-death…
Hello @MattChorley @BBCHughPym following your suggestion on yesterday’s show that lockdowns caused the mental health problems with which many children are now suffering, what do you make of this study referenced in the tweet below?
From an observational study of 71 children (median age: 8.7 y/o) hospitalized for neurological manifestations of SARS-CoV-2 infection in France, "The most common neurological manifestations were encephalitis and meningoencephalitis (32%).. Brain imaging was abnormal in 68% of…
Country music star Luke Bryan who stopped touring for nearly a month due to a mystery illness told the audience: “I got COVID. You can boo that s*** all you want, but I got it. I had to cancel some shows, and now I’m back. But I’m not 100%, because it’s still kicking my a**.”
I've seen cholesterol and triglycerides levels in 16-25 year old folk with Long Cövid that are mind-blowing and zero family history. REMINDER: Statins have a positive role in Endotheliitis and improve Flow Mediated Dilatation 🙏🏻
I spotted this gem in today's edition of the New England Journal. Expect to see more titles like this over the next decade. Do you know why? 🤔
Sick #1 coworker 3 weeks ago coughing and blowing nose all day. Co worker #2 who shares her pod gets sick two weeks ago. Return and coughs for a week. #1 returns last week with no voice. #2 says yesterday that 18month old in hospital with pneumonia. What are we doing? Still no …
Just learned 36 year old SIL of my friend had a heart attack yesterday. No known health conditions that should have lead to this. Doctors say it was "stress induced". This is normal now.
#LongCovid comes with clear pathology and an evident palette of biomarkers, when the scientific evidence is assessed. Reducing LC to a "mystery illness", some "fatigue", and "unexplained symptoms" is a way to avoid treating patients and accountability for the pandemic disaster
Long COVID isn’t a thing of the past. People are still getting sick. Still losing their health, their jobs, their futures. It’s not “a bit of tiredness.” It’s organ damage, vascular damage and cognitive decline. This isn’t historical; it’s the present. And it's being ignored.
Someone just reached out to me on LinkedIn to talk about Long COVID. They developed it in January of this year.
It is very important for the public to understand that Long Covid and MECFS are not medically or clinically equivalent. Long Covid groups need to offer clarification - urgently. If they don't we should ask ourselves: can they really claim to represent Long Covid patients?
No doctors learn about ME in the UK either. Same for LC. Another video posted yesterday. x.com/ABrokenBattery…
As a patient, I ask: please rebalance your communications with media and policy-makers, including the APPG and Government, to reflect the full range of Long Covid symptoms and risks. NICE Long Covid: nice.org.uk/guidance/ng188 NICE ME/CFS: nice.org.uk/guidance/ng206 3/3
Long Covid includes distinct challenges, including the risk of acute, life-threatening events (like PEs, heart attacks, strokes). These are recognised in the NICE Long Covid guideline. There are also unknown long-term effects on the heart, lungs, brain and immune system. 2/3
Dear UK Long Covid groups @LongCovidScot @long_covid @LongCovidKids @LongCovidSOS Thank you for raising awareness of fatigue, PEM, brain fog and sleep disturbance - symptoms that define MECFS. But the rest of Long Covid also urgently needs to be talked about. 1/3
But it's not scientific. People are being diagnosed with severe/very severe ME when we know long COVID is causing cardiovascular/ clotting events, cancers, and neurodegeneration (early dementia). x.com/acrossthemerse…
“This is not a respiratory virus. This virus is like cancer. This virus gets into every part of your body.” Dr. Pat Soon-Shiong has now been on Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly urging Government intervention. Meanwhile MSM and left leaning media, crickets.
