1/This my grandma and my mum on the steps of Castlepollard mother and baby institution. Philomena my grandmother kept it for my mum. Sr Gabriel and Tom Woulfe (formerly of the adoption board) now St Patrick’s Guild never acted upon their requests for information and reunion.

Some 300 behind a wall at Castlepollard I’ve heard some unaffected locals think I should say ‘St Peter’s hospital near Castlepollard’ thats silencing and erasure it’s how we forget where we buried hundreds of babies (it was never any kind of hospital in the real sense either )
Christiane, it's not just Tuam where there are hundreds of missing babies buried who knows where. Bessborough, where my mother was born has hundreds of missing children. Sean Ross Abbey has hundreds of missing children. And these are the institutions we know about so far.
I would like to see experts review all information, cartographers & archeologists. Unfortunately the congregation built their new convent in this field in the early 2000’s. Is this why the nuns testimonies to the MBHCOI was described as “speculative, inaccurate and misleading”🤷♀️

In the Universal Credit Bill @natalieben made a superb speech explaining how the Bill will make life tougher for thousands of disabled people. She will move a regret motion so that people can see that some of us would stop the Bill if we could. (Money Bills can't be stopped.)

This is so upsetting. No consultation with any of our 750 members.The proposed remembrance park here is part of the landscape of #Bessborough House& cannot be built on but this area opposite the front door is the least likely place to have burials however the rest of the 1/3

How testimony was treated handled and recorded is still so shocking.
Reading Catriona Crowe’s essay really brings home how parts of the #MBHCOI ‘s Report were shambolic. My mother was 1 of the 64 who went to the investigative committee. She only applied to give evidence here & not the confidential one. They managed to mess up her testimony. 1/6
