I spoke to an 89 year old gentleman yesterday who was born in #Bessboro. He visits Bessboro regularly, the compulsion to visit the place he was with his mother is very strong. He cried as he explained tracing her but she died 8weeks before. He showed me the sacred ground 1/4

Decision 2 years overdue for the 2 planning applications on the grounds of #Bessboro has been refused. Not to do with the historical nature of the property but because of the scale & mix of the development. WE ARE DELIGHTED. #SaveBessboro

We’ve had a difficult few weeks with dementia. Support means a chat line and various teams making decisions without meeting us. There is no help.

This hospital has Saorview, so Irish channels only on the TV. It has WiFi that doesn’t work in my room, because there’s lead. 🙄 Thanks to tethering to barely there 5G on my phone, a Bose Bluetooth speaker, an iPad, Sky Go, BBC2, and a glass of wine, needs must, and all that!
