3 months ago I saw the news about Mahmoud Khalil, turned off my phone and went to canvass a Muslim coffee shop during Ramadan. The future Mayor of NYC showed up. Haven’t looked back since. 16 days till the election, let’s win this.

Someday soon, what’s been obvious to so many of us from the beginning will be understood by everyone: that if a city can be reduced to rubble with its people held captive inside, if they can be starved in full view of the world, everything is permitted, and this threatens us all.

Waiting until it’s absolutely safe, when there’s nothing to risk, and after tens of thousands have been killed and starved, to finally say something, is such a great sign of moral cowardice that it’s unsurprising that the same people would demand respect for their opportunism.

An Israeli air drop landed on a tent crushing a starving family underneath. Meanwhile Israeli navy just hijacked the #Handala an aid ship to Gaza carrying baby formula. Lift the damn siege. End Israeli domination and annihilation of Palestinian lives — that’s the only solution.

They were carrying baby formula and teddy bears for the Gazan children Israel is intentionally starving, sailing in international waters that Israel has no jurisdiction over. Every part of this is unspeakably evil.

I've seen videos of fathers picking up pieces of their children. People in tents being burned alive. Mothers shot dead while begging for food. And now, emaciated babies in the last moments of their lives. Israel's war on Gaza is the most evil thing I have ever seen in my life.

if you're wondering why 'the dam has broken' on Gaza, it's simple. Israel carried out their final solution. It's done. Every town has been flattened, everyone still alive is experiencing a level of famine they can't come back from. Criticizing it now is too late. That's why.

No one who defended Israel’s conduct the last two years, or did not use all of the power they had to try and stop this, should ever hold elected or higher office in the United States ever again.

I have never felt so shaken. Children are dying of hunger. Falling one after another, like petals of a dying flower. Under our watch. How do you sleep, Presidents, Foreign Ministers, political leaders, diplomats, civil servants - doing nothing to stop Israel’s starvation…
