NGC7741 a beautiful barred spiral in Pegasus with a colourful foreground star on its northern limb.
Very likely so.
I wonder if, in the future, people born on Mars who are tired of solving problem after problem will travel to Earth so seek an easier life. Simultaneously, people born on Earth who are tired of an easy life will travel to Mars to live more treacherously and excitingly.

NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory's view of the Virgo Cluster is full of galaxy clusters: collections of gravitationally-bound galaxies ✨ They can be identified as similarly colored smudges concentrated together. Here, we can see three different clusters at different distances.
This weekend we commemorate the 20th anniversary of the launch of STS-114—the first shuttle flight after the tragic Columbia accident 2.5 years earlier. 📷 The first Rendezvous Pitch Maneuver below the @Space_Station helped inspect Discovery's heat-resistant tiles for damage.
Wonderful colors.

The Ejecta Nebula Around the Wolf-Rayet Star WR 71: arxiv.org/abs/2507.17946 -> "Deep H and [O III] images suggests that new and substantially deeper imaging reconnaissance of WR star nebulae compared to earlier surveys may lead to additional WR ring nebula detections".
Island Universes!
Happy birthday, Vera Rubin! 🥳✨ What better way to celebrate than with @NSF–@doescience Rubin Observatory's view of galaxies SHE studied? NGC 4343, 4526, 4535, and 4378 are just a few gems from our Cosmic Treasure Chest. Explore them and more at skyviewer.app
For centuries, Betelgeuse, the iconic red supergiant in Orion, has fascinated astronomers with its changing brightness. Why does its light vary over a ~6-year cycle? Thanks to the Gemini North telescope, we now have an answer: Betelgeuse has a companion star! A research team,…
Yearning for the unknown shores...
Oh hey there, friends! 👋 On its way to Jupiter, NASA’s Europa Clipper caught a glimpse of Mars and its two moons. The dark circle at the top of the planet is a polar ice cap, and the fainter circle below is the region around Elysium Mons. Details: go.nasa.gov/3Uhjylf

The camera that took this image was getting smoked by radiation - the @NASAJuno team figured out how to fix it, from 560 million miles / 900 million km away. Human ingenuity & tenacity are amazing. jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-shar…
5 such cycles would make 110 Martian years or 201 Earth ones, a good choice to make it a Martian "century", just slightly over terrestrial century.
