@Primer CEO. On the side of the builders and the kids.
Something new: the Primer Fellowship. If you've dreamed of launching a microschool, we built this for you. We're opening up the Primer platform — our software, ops engine, academic program, etc. — and giving it to you. Let's launch some schools.
As a general matter: if you can raise capital from folks who also build companies attacking problems like uranium enrichment, I highly recommend it.
I spent over a year at Founders Fund searching for an American enrichment company to invest in, only to find there wasn’t one. So we built our own. General Matter is filling the nuclear U.S. fuel gap. We are enriching uranium in America, and we will be shipping by the end of the…
Becoming great at backchannel references is the highest ROI hiring skill.
A milestone: just hired our first former Primer student. First of many!

I wonder if we'll discover a visual analogue to 'perfect pitch' as these image models keep getting better — people who can immediately tell if an image is AI generated long after the rest of us can.
7yo: “would you rather stare at pure blue light for an hour before bed or eat twice the daily amount of sugar?”
Primer is at an inflection point. It's finally possible to take a real swing at rebuilding our K-12 education system. If you are insanely ambitious and want to do the best work of your life, we are operationally constrained on every team and need your help. DM or [email protected]
Primer fixes this.
Housing is tied to school for *anyone* who can’t afford private school. Since urban private schools are SO expensive, this is a lot more than just lower income You could afford a $1MM house… but not $40K per year/kid Urban education NEEDS to be better to keep families
