not only do we need direct action, we need a real uprising
Police attacked an anti-ICE protest in Atlanta tonight. People have been arrested and as always we are committed to helping them get out of jail. Please contribute at atlsolidarity.org to help us continue our work.
life is devalued quickly, and revalued slowly. at this crossroads in world history, resistance itself must drive us the path to a new kind of human being, a new human community. the road between here and there is long and it is bleak. but we have to walk it, or perish.
Think about all that has been accepted over the last 21 months. All that the media no longer even feels a need to justify. Schools and hospitals can be bombed or turned into torture dungeons and the Western media doesn't even acknowledge or ask about it. It's just another day.
This tactic, repeated consistently by just 4 or 5 people at a time, successfully pressured multiple Cop City contractors to withdraw from the project. Small groups, big impact. 🌲✊

ICE is training dogs for raids in Atlanta public schools.

the president deployed the marines to LA in order to clampdown on grassroots resistance to ICE. two days ago, they left--after more than a month on the ground. authoritarian clampdown aside, this was also a trial run for a coup d'etat.
Two weeks ago, the "speedy" trial deadline of Ayla King was declared a mistrial. Judge Farmer is threatening to resume this case *after* doing all of the others. The court is, effectively, punishing Ayla for applying for a speedy trial, which is a constitutional right.
Justice delayed, justice denied. Ayla King's "speedy" trial postponed again. #stopcopcity
Jakhis situation - similar to that of those facing charges from the Stop Cop City movement - is another example of a wave of repression across the country, happening in Dallas, L.A., Atlanta and elsewhere.
Jakhi McCray, a 21 year old accused of torching several New York police cars, is now out of jail on house arrest. Jakhi turned himself in on his own terms. Despite the billions of dollars they receive every year NYPD and FBI spent weeks unable to find him.
We have been inexplicably locked out of our account for several weeks. We are back now. Please follow our other accounts linked in bio!
Kilmar Abrego Garcia was tortured at the US-funded CECOT torture camp located in El Salvador. Detention centers, prisons, and camps anywhere are a threat to freedom and justice everywhere on the planet. We must destroy them. apnews.com/article/kilmar…
the movement against Cop City aspired to prevent what we are now seeing everywhere. because so many of us failed to support that struggle with all our might, the entire country has become the kind of dictatorial democracy that people in atlanta warned us about.
BREAKING: Seattle Federal Building right now. This is Trump’s America. 😢 🎥 @camhigby

ICE agents are wearing masks because they do not want their identities known to the public. Because they don't want to be approached at home, at church, at restaurants. They don't want their neighbors and families to know what they are doing.
FBI continue to lead raids with ICE across Atlanta and it's suburbs. This morning, at Villas of Embry Hills, masked agents terrorized a community around 8am. This is why people are throwing fireworks and stones at them. Until they are destroyed, they will continue to ruin lives.
We need them
The anarchists are coming to a neighborhood near you.
A large number of sophisticated discourses have convinced some people that the concept of solidarity does not serve them, that the fight between federal agents and undocumented people is not a universal struggle effecting the entire society. This is "divide + conquer" rebranded.
This isnt yet an uprising. It is a series of combative protests. In order to take the next step, we must articulate an implicit (or explicit) demand (amnesty?), a viable tactical innovation (probably sieging detention centers), + we must protagonize a few million more people.
The movement against deportations is not destructive or disruptive enough, actually. Every single day, federal authorities are ruining peoples lives and destroying families. This cannot be resolved by the Democratic party, who helped to build these policies and infrastructures.

Ferguson really was an image from the future. Until the contradictions that were exposed there are resolved, embattled communities at the margins of hyper-policed metropoles will continue to lead dignified and militant resistance, with or without activists and the left.

the most reasonable thing is to overthrow the system.
