This is nasty! For her to say the number of people Obama deported “isn’t the issue” when it’s exactly that!! Imperialism (which drives a lot of the forced migration) & the U.S.’ approach to immigration preserves the history of colonialism and BOTH parties ensure that.

ICE is rapidly hiring social workers. I’m studying for my license and receive these ads constantly. these jobs are flagged as “above average” with significantly higher salaries compared to your typical social work job. disturbing.

In my own writing, it’s important for me to name that black women’s literary culture is not inherently anti-imperialist and simultaneously people ignore the anti-imperialism that is in Black women’s literature because who we believe can and should speak on empire.
