Fools are captivated by their own minds and hearts, as if to be isolated by them; they do not want advice, they are not after wisdom, they only want to make their opinions and desires known. Proverbs 18:1-2
Worship God more than you worship yourself, your kids, your job, your ministry, your time, your money, your phone, anything and everything else you can think of.
True worship from the heart is worship empowered by the Holy Spirit, flowing from a heart that has been transformed by the gospel and is rooted in the truth of God’s Word.

Everyone is a counselor. Everytime we give advice, listen, teach, encourage, or correct someone we are counseling. That doesn't mean the counsel given will be Biblical. Biblical counseling is founded on Jesus Christ as revealed in the Scriptures.

It's hard to be a BIBLICAL counselor when Scripture is never used in your counseling. As counselors, it is good to continue growing and learning by reading deeply, but the Scriptures must always be our primary source of wisdom.
