My wife is shocked that I rarely make it all the way through a book because I still read like I'm in seminary. Reading for specific information rather than pure enjoyment. Her mind cannot comprehend the hundreds of books I have and yet I haven't read the entirety of most of them.…
This is an excellent article. Our emotions, in and of themselves, are not inherently sinful. However, they may become so if we permit them. Things can be corrupted by the nature of sin without necessarily being sinful in their original state. Emotions are God-given and should be…
The Beauty of Our Emotions: Biblical Counseling for Fear. rpmministries.org/2025/07/beauty… It seems that emotions are a very emotional topic in our biblical counseling world! We need a biblical theology of the beauty of emotions.
ATTN: Biblical Counselors. We’re looking for at least one qualified/certified biblical counselor in the West Valley of Phoenix to join our team at Biblical Counseling of Arizona. In the past, we’ve had several counselors in that area, but they’ve since moved out of state. While…
Worship God more than you worship yourself, your kids, your job, your ministry, your time, your money, your phone, anything and everything else you can think of.
True worship from the heart is worship empowered by the Holy Spirit, flowing from a heart that has been transformed by the gospel and is rooted in the truth of God’s Word.

Church is not a gathering of consumers but by grace a gathering of joyful and willing participants.
We can do this!!😬😂
Based on 2024-2025 data from Pew, Gallup, and reports like The Times, the Reformed tradition shows signs of resurgence, particularly among young conservative men and Gen Z seeking traditional theology. Youth attendance has quadrupled in some metrics, with rising interest in…
Made it to 250 followers. Can I get to 300 by this time tomorrow? Might do a book giveaway if I make it!
Everyone is a counselor. Everytime we give advice, listen, teach, encourage, or correct someone we are counseling. That doesn't mean the counsel given will be Biblical. Biblical counseling is founded on Jesus Christ as revealed in the Scriptures.
Just an FYI, @RHB_Books still has a bunch of sales including books on counseling.
I heard another counselor say recently, “The amount of trauma one holds is determined by the amount of willingness they have to hold on to the thing causing the trauma.” This has resonated deeply with me as I think about my issues with PTSD after back-to-back tours overseas in…
