When I joined @dhaliwas on this journey 11 years ago it was to build *the* haven for technical founders. Nothing has changed except we have far more resources than I ever imagined to help the people we’re built to serve.
New funds, new look, same Amplify. Announcing our $900M 6th set of funds, our first ever digital bio fund, and our new logo and site. The first (and best) investor for technical founders. amplifypartners.com/blog-posts/fun…

Did you know? The deepest the bow, the higher the respect shown. This is a core part of Japanese bowing etiquette, known as ojigi. This man married a gymnast.
I find this misleading. Technology enabled many industries to do a lot more with fewer people. It also allowed people to live longer. Plus all the Baby Boomers retired. Healthcare has many issues in America, but numerous factors are behind this infographic.
This is nuts. In 1990 healthcare wasn’t the top employer in any state In 2024 it’s the top employer in 39 states We are the united states of healthcare
iMessage search is an abomination. LinkedIn search is second. Gmail search is third.
Worst product features of all time: Gold medal: iMessage search Silver medal: Venmo transaction feed Bronze medal: Siri’s intelligence
We talked to @ElliotHershberg (Partner @AmplifyPartners) about the challenges in life sciences technology. "There has been a general sentiment that you can make a huge amount of progress with new data and new technology in life sciences." "It actually turns out that it's really…
Every engineer is familiar with the joys of writing unit tests. But less known is formal (or program) verification: foolproof, mathematical ways of guaranteeing code outputs. And as more code writing shifts to agents, I believe it will become critically important for LLMs.
In one of history’s most satisfying twists, Eichmann was undone by his son Klaus who was dating the daughter of a German-Jewish Holocaust survivor. Klaus still had the Eichmann surname and her father recognized it.
Adolf Eichmann murdered 6 million people from behind a desk. Then he vanished. 15 years later, 7 Mossad agents waited at a bus stop in Argentina. They weren’t there to arrest him. They came to kidnap him. This is how Israel hunted down the architect of the Holocaust:
I would contend that working class people (and immigrants in particular) are a) far better at seeing through bullshit and b) far more wary of revolutionary promises.
Israel’s primary export to Ireland are semiconductors for companies like Apple and Intel who do manufacturing in Ireland. If Ireland bans the imports, then those companies will have to move manufacturing out of Ireland. This would probably hurt Ireland more than Israel.
Ireland becomes the first European country to pass a law banning imports from Israel. The first time since Nazi Germany’s defeat that a European gov has pushed a law to specifically boycott Jewish-made goods. dailywire.com/news/ireland-b…
If you already know all the answers then I won’t bore you with the facts. For those interested in the facts, behold Barr’s latest AI Engineering survey 📝
We surveyed hundreds of engineers building in AI about everything from which models they’re using to whether they’re using a dedicated vector database. And, of course, if they think everyone will have AI girlfriends by 2030. Some highlights 🧵:
This is a common misconception that I hear. LPs care about GPs’ ability to drive future returns. Brand is a small piece of that, but it does not dominate LPs’ behavior. LPs are far more fixated on the go forward team and how they’re incentivized for the new fund.
lol But sadly it’s mostly just brand for many LPs
A great use of agents in Europe would be to automatically approve GDPR popups on every website.

The alpha in venture is the team. Obvious, yet so few obsess over collecting outliers. Why? Because most people are intimidated by the unfamiliar. I joined Amplify because everyone here is an n=1. To find outliers, you have to be one. #antiPartnerVotingClub
If venture capital really is about finding outliers, and outliers really do cluster together, then maybe—just maybe—the best way to find them is to build a firm full of outliers and let them loose on the world. #antiPartnerVotingClub
