CEO @FDD. Sanctioned by Iran and Russia. Annoyingly nonpartisan. Host of The Iran Breakdown. “A micro-niche celebrity but not your niche.”
FDD supports President Trump’s clearly stated goal: Iran must dismantle its nuclear program and be permanently and completely banned from domestic enrichment, plutonium reprocessing, and the nuclear weapons delivery systems that Obama dangerously allowed. fdd.org/analysis/2025/…

He is a better liar than Zarif — and that says something.
BREAKING: Bret Baier brings receipts to the president of the Islamic Republic that the Ayatollah has directly said “Death to America means Death to Trump.” The president of the Islamic Republic says it’s propaganda. 😂
All this talk about “national honor” and “dignity” is a smokescreen to protect their nuke bomb program. They’ve burned trillions on terror and weapons — and have nothing to show for it. The regime doesn’t speak for Iranians. Most of them despise it.
🚨 BREAKING: Talking exclusively to Fox News’ @BretBaier, Iran’s foreign minister reveals the country’s nuclear program was “damaged, seriously damaged” by recent U.S. attack and that its enrichment program is “all stopped.” He adds that Iran wants to “go for a negotiated…
Phil doesn’t tell you: stockpile of HEU (and most of Iran’s nuke infrastructure) grew while he was VP’s NSA during Biden admin. And the JCPOA gave Iran near-zero breakout by 2027, weapon-grade uranium by 2031 and $1T++ in sanctions relief to fund its missiles and terror armies.
This missing stockpile of HEU would not even exist had Trump not withdrawn from JCPOA which banned it til 2031. Yet by June 2025 Iran’s stockpile of 60% HEU (400kg) was bigger than the amount of allowable 3.67% LEU (300kg) under the deal. nytimes.com/2025/06/26/us/… via @NYTimes
Reading the X posts of some ex-Obama officials who’d run a Harris admin, one thing’s clear: thank God they’re not in power. But 2029 isn’t far off—and unless Democrats rediscover their sensible center, these people (or worse) will be back. They’re incapable of admitting mistakes.
How the Middle East broke? It’s not just Islam, as some on the right claim. Nor is it all Western imperialism and capitalism, as the left insists. The truth is stranger. The always fascinating @HusseinAboubak with @havivrettiggur podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ask…
I missed this sharp 2023 piece by @HusseinAboubak on a familiar nemesis to those who’ve fought Khamenei’s regime: Rob Malley. Since then, Israel & the US pummeled Iran’s proxies & nuke program — the regime has never been weaker. But did Malley’s delusions take the same beating?
"To comprehend the political man, one must first apprehend his history and inheritance. Robert Malley is, in many respects, a creature of the “Third World”, a fact he has never sought to obscure through apology or circumspection." Link to full essay below
Some countries criticized Israel for establishing a buffer zone after the Assad regime collapsed. Today, dozens of Islamist jihadist groups operate just across Israel’s northern border. They openly state that Israel is their next target. After seeing what the Islamists did to…

Eyeing Sanctions ‘Snapback,’ Iran Petitions Russia and China Ahead of E3 Meeting New analysis from @therealBehnamBT and @Brad_L_Bowman: fdd.org/analysis/2025/…
Why is the @IDF operating in central Gaza Strip (Deir al Balah)? Because Israel wants a deal and is trying to impress upon the remaining Hamas leadership that if they don’t agree to a deal, Israel will launch the final big offensive in Gaza. Part of my @CNN interview…
We’ve been sounding the alarm for weeks. Now @washingtonpost just blew the UN’s cover. Hamas hijacks UN aid, resells it, and pockets the profit. GHF’s secure model blocks the looting, so Hamas wants us gone. Let’s break down the WaPo piece. 🧵
Max Meizlish (@maxmeizlish), a senior analyst at the Centre on Economic and Financial Power (@FDD_CEFP) has warned that global markets are dangerously underestimating South Africa's growing sanctions and compliance risks, especially as Pretoria's foreign policy drifts further…

Israel to Reduce Scope of Reserve Forces Across Several Fronts New insights from @sfrantzman and @JoeTruzman: fdd.org/analysis/2025/…
UAE joined the Abraham Accords and still got denied F-35s. But Turkey—run by Islamist regime, buyer of S-400s, hostile to Israel—gets the green light? Do we want Turkish pilots dogfighting Israelis in our F-35s? No jets until Turkey makes peace with Israel and dumps Putin.
A way for the U.S. to fend off Turkey's requests for the F-35s?
