Modern college exists because it’s basically illegal to screen for job candidate intelligence using simple IQ tests. So kids have to waste 4+ years and go into crazy debt to pay for their own indoctrination because Boomers hate IQ.

There is more to success than IQ. Personality traits, such as conscientiousness, also matter a great deal. But these can also be screened relatively easily and reliably with a simple test. We could replace most higher ed with just two tests.
