The future is multichain. Today chains try to be good at everything to attract users & liquidity … because users & liquidity are fragmented. When we defragment those things, chains can stop trying to be everything to everybody and start focusing on what makes them special.
I still see a lot of “one chain to rule them all” marketing L1’s and L2’s alike acting like all relevant future apps will live in their ecosystem alone But the future is multichain and the only factors stopping us all from seeing it are the final barriers to interop
Live in Korea, Japan or Turkey and love Espresso? We’re looking for some local champions.
Universal base layer needs universal reach. As we build infra thousands of rollups will rely on, we're seeking community ambassadors to connect us with builders across the globe, starting in Asia. Ready to champion Espresso from your corner of the world? jobs.lever.co/Espresso
this does sorta capture what the last few days have felt like on ct 🥴
Brewing the future with @EspressoSys 🤎☕️
thanks for the question @Hidayahhtaufik Espresso is a BFT consensus protocol just like Ethereum, except it’s fast (it’s non-executing) and purpose-built for rollups Here’s how it works: 1) Once rollups integrate, they send their blocks to Espresso first 2) Espresso…

fast confirmations or secure ones? apps face this tradeoff because current infrastructure forces it better infrastructure eliminates it ☕️ 😉
Day 1/5 ~ Unpacking Confirmations In a modular world, confirmation isn’t just finality. It’s the moment your app decides something’s safe enough to act on - whether that’s showing a balance, sending a message, or kicking off cross-chain logic. And how you define that, on each…
mowj and his creativity never disappoint
Time to grab a flashlight, zoom into the roadmap🧐 and see exactly what Whit’s been brewing! He’s dropped some hints: PoS? It’s brewed and almost ready to pour ↩️ The target’s still Q3 ↩️ Q3 is already here & that means summer ↩️ And summer? Yep! that’s our season ☀️☕️ That’s…
we held our last Espresso community call a few weeks ago. if you missed it, update on upgrading Espresso mainnet to proof of stake is around 10:20 mark. TLDR: still on track for Q3. Engineering work should be done this month, but @espressoFNDN decides when the upgrade will occur
Espresso Community Call #4 x.com/i/broadcasts/1…
What @jillrgunter doesn't mention here is that Espresso delivers that shared security by providing a fast, secure base layer purpose-built to support L2s
“Shared security fundamentally solves for interop…” A powerful take from the latest Expansion podcast. Cosmos didn’t deliver. Ethereum is still too high-friction. The need for truly seamless interoperability is louder than ever. watch full video: youtu.be/V4bksy93P7Q?si……
Espresso fam spans the globe. People say it’s hard to build communities around infra (“no one cares about the plumbing”), yet here we are w/ passionate advocates (peep BTS’ custom designed Composables tee!) across the globe who understand better base layers unlock the future.
Milan is not wrong
People still box Espresso in as ‘another rollup tool when it’s actually the trust coordination layer the modular stack’s been missing.
673% vs 22%. Same timeframe, same account, completely different story. This is why @KaitoAI's 'smart follower' metric is so useful. This chart shows our X growth from Sept 2024 to April 2025 (the month before our Layer3 campaign caused May's spike): 👉 Total followers (green…

TLDR: Rollups can keep their centralized sequencer and the benefits that come from it, but still plug into Espresso to gain some of the qualities of a decentralized sequencer (and better composability) Here’s how: Once Espresso validators confirm an L2’s block (~5sec), that…
personally like @ellierdavidson’s answer that we need more honest marketing in crypto about what our projects actually do, what they don’t do, and what they’ll do in the future.
We capped off our @EthCC Cannes adventure with a lil pétanque tourney. While tossing the boules, we asked the Espresso community what we should do more of in crypto. This is what they had to say ☕️
They wanted to be a landlord not a tenant. And this is why the L2 paradigm will beat the monolithic L1 paradigm. It is closer to the way web apps are run today. x.com/benafisch/stat…
Robinhood didn’t launch on Solana because they didn’t want to leak MEV to validators. They wanted to be a landlord, not a tenant.
And this sums up my thread on how L2s are becoming a new paradigm for Web3, which L1s serve (by providing DA + finality). L2s are not parasitic to L1s that are designed for L2s.
L2s are only parasitic to L1s that seek to be execution layers
next time you see me call @benafisch our “fearless leader,” you’ll know it’s not just hyperbole 😅
Pretty sure this was the first ascent of El Capitan in an Espresso t-shirt. Dear crypto twitter, what other wild places has @EspressSys swag made it to?
Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for the Espresso & 5K run this morning in Cannes! We asked the community what comes to mind when they hear the word “Espresso”. While running. In the heat. The Espresso community? Absolute troopers.
