Yep, check the Substack for more, but Pomeranz is six weeks into a loss of what had been his best weapon (FB ride). Without it, I fear he doesn’t have MLB quality. Cubs have to be decisive in evaluations, particularly in next 8 days.
Bryan showed the drop in Pomeranz's pitch effectiveness lately beyond just the results (which were inevitably going to regress).

Really bad pitch decisions to both Salvy and Pasquantino on full counts with the base open, each lead to 2-run homers. Just not necessary. Make them chase, live with a walk. Rea doesn't have the stuff to beat these guys and with the wind blowing out.
