"Conquest breeds hatred, for the conquered live in sorrow. Let us be neither conqueror nor conquered, and live in peace and joy." — The Buddha
Only in the absurdity that is American politics could you ever find something so horrifying as a call to welcome the génocidaires into 'the big tent' so we can 'build a coalition' with them. x.com/continuationis…
The genocide is ongoing, right now today. People are still helping to perpetrate it and profiting from it. If we want truth and reconciliation we need to start with justice. Trials for all those who are making the genocide possible, not inviting them into any coalitions.
"Unless the Israeli government agrees to an immediate end to the war and a surge of aid into Gaza, western countries should be sanctioning Netanyahu and his government. They should halt all arms sales to Israel. ... and recognise a Palestinian state."

It's "Housing Week" come look at my mansion? Adams seems like a politician who could be convinced by advisors to do anything, no matter how obviously bad the idea. Totally unreflective and lacking in judgement.
Hey, NYC! It’s “Housing Week,” so I’m giving you a peak at my crib!
North Korea is an authoritarian state that perpetrates crimes against humanity on its own citizens, and Israel is a settler colonial occupying power with authoritarian tendencies committing genocide. Equally bad internally, but Israel is worse when acting beyond its borders.
Israelis are self-immolating their reputation denying starvation in Gaza. Even some of their last friends in the world are appalled by this. They’re going to turn themselves into North Korea on the Mediterranean if they can’t acknowledge basic reality.
“We are heartbroken and outraged by the killing of Awdah Hathaleen, a teacher and activist whose only crime was defending his family and land. His death is a devastating reminder of the escalating Israeli settler violence and unchecked impunity faced by Palestinians..."…

"If we continue to teach our young people that our norms and institutions are evil, we cannot count on those norms and institutions continuing to function. And what we should expect when social loyalty and trust fails is not an evolution to some even better society than we…
Months ago the UN and WHO warned of exactly this when Israel and the US decided to block aid as part of their military strategy to use starvation as a weapon.

NASA has helped humanity touch the stars, been admired by generations of people around the world, and is the number one showcase for US technology and innovation. It is so incredibly devastating and myopic to dismantle it.

We need a big tent for the people but a purge of the leadership. Every politician and pundit who spent the last few years supporting Israel's war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide should be excluded for the rest of their lives.
You are probably not paid enough at your job. So you need a raise. But there's something else going on too. The cost of public goods are increasing — so you're forced to borrow to make ends meet. You don't just need a raise — you need your household debts canceled too.
of course Pete Buttigieg thinks it's "less about the ideology," since he doesn't believe in anything
If Dems want lessons from Mamdani applicable across the country “it’s less about the ideology, and more about the message discipline of focusing on what people care about and the tactical wisdom of getting out there and talking to everybody,” Pete Buttigieg says on NPR.
