Reform UK won't stand up for Wales. They're embracing scandal with open arms.
It's great to see the local community (and the environment) benefitting from national policy. The government also recently announced £63m for: ⚡kerbside charging - saving up to £1.5k a year 🚑 New chargepoints for the NHS 🚛 business chargepoints crewe.nub.news/news/local-new…

A vote for Reform at the next election will be a vote for government on a wing and a prayer.
"So you don't know how much it would be in any ballpark?" #BBCLauraK asks Reform UK leader Nigel Farage about his proposals to nationalise 50% of the water industry "Of course not" replies Farage but says "it doesn't need to be a big sum of money" bbc.in/44WXpgI
🚨 Reform's war on homegrown, clean energy would cost almost a million jobs across the UK and leave you paying higher energy bills.🚨
Rather than a referendum, I have a radical idea - how about political parties list their policies in some kind of document, a ‘manifesto’ say, then the party who wins implements those policies.
Offering votes to 16 year olds is a major constitutional change and should not be allowed without a referendum. How would Labour react if the Tories came to power and said you can only vote if you are over 50? 16 year olds should not be voting!
Tuesday's debate was a fantastic turnout of cross-party MPs to discuss the future of the West Coast Main Line. It's great to see so many advocates for better infrastructure in the North. manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-m…
The West Coast Mainline is a vital part of this country's network. I was proud to hold a Westminster Hall Debate and make the case for investment in the line. connornaismith.org.uk/2025/07/17/fig…
For the right, concerns over immigration come down to nativism. That doesn't mean there isn't a left wing case for control over our borders that is rooted in the economy and living standards. It's basic principle of supply and demand that we shouldn't shy away from.

Lots of people arguing about this. People will take different views on both sides about the things you can and can't do currently at 16 and where the right balance is. The bottom line is that this was a manifesto commitment. There is a mandate from the electorate for this change
I've long supported votes at 16. Some of the most politically engaged people I have ever met are currently too young to vote. At 16 you can work. You can pay taxes. You deserve to have a say over how those taxes are spent.

Today we’re delivering on our promise to give 16 and 17 year olds the right to vote. Young people already contribute to society by working, paying taxes and serving in the military. It's only right they can have a say on the issues that affect them. #VotesAt16

The quality of roads in Cheshire often crops up in my inbox. Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to highlight the importance of residents’ voices - something which has delivered tangible action in areas like East Avenue in Weston.

Who would look at this and reach the conclusion that "There is a path from here to a government of the left in Britain."? What a luxury it must be to contemplate the possible long term benefits of a Reform landslide and Prime Minister Farage.
Four years to turn latent support into hard wins - seats won up and down the country for Red-Green alliance. Labour is burned out; no part of left is hegemonic alone; unity matters. There is a path from here to a government of the left in Britain. We need to think in these terms.
