Here is a textbook example of a CAT5 heat dome if it were to hold in place for a few days. CAT 5's in my book have the potential to kill >1000. BTW since the overly hot operational overextended GFS rarely verifies, we probably won't see a day like this in 2025...Thank goodness!

RECORD WARM NIGHT on the East Coast Minimum temperature was 81F/27.2C at Wilmington ,North Carolina today: It ties the Highest minimum temperature ever recorded in July. More records can fall next days in the Central Plains.
