Really loving this feedback from prisoners on the impact they’ve seen @unlockedgrads participants delivering!
Conditions inside are tough for staff and prisoners alike. Poor ventilation on the landings and in the cells. ☀️ The summer sunshine has a disproportionate impact on the prisons in England and Wales. #prisons #heatwave
Just how high will temperatures get? 🌡️ Here's a look at when the peak temperatures may occur where you are over the next few days 📈
Kathryn Ecclestone and @ProfDHayes warned about this in their fascinating book.

Looking forward to what should be a really interesting day - our prisoner surveys have been central the inspectorates work since they were first developed around the turn of the century

Powerful piece by @Mollie_Malone1 on @SkyNews about the revolving door in women's prisons - Mental ill health, drugs, abuse, homelessness, crime, prison.
Watch Connie’s story from inside HMP Foston Hall 👇she’s been in and out of prison since the age 15, homeless, addicted to drugs, with a 13 y/o son on the outside. She’s in prison with 9 shoplifting conditions. news.sky.com/video/share-13…
Absolute pleasure to get to meet a really impressive group of custody managers - the critical front-line line leaders in every prison
Earlier this month, we were delighted to welcome HM Chief Inspector of Prisons @charlie_taylor6 to our most recent training residential for Unlocked ChangeMakers, our new, bespoke middle leadership development programme.

These principles equally apply to prisons - this is what the best jails do too.
When @tombennett71 lists your school’s Behaviour Strategy and you feel seen 👀 Living this model, I cannot agree more.
This short report sets out the many problems with the applications system in jails - a huge cause of prisoner frustration- they often can’t get basic requests dealt with such as getting a medical appointment or asking for a prison move to be nearer to an elderly relative.
Today we published our report ‘Easier said than done: resolving prisoner requests’. It reveals how difficult it is for prisoners to get even simple things done in jail.
