And yes, no shock here: The report raises concerns with the possibility that parking and traffic management won't be sufficient to handle event traffic, leading to gridlock or people parking in the adjacent residential areas.
The report also says D.C. needs to have concrete timelines from the Commanders on the development of the residential and commercial parcels. The report recommends financial penalties if promised timelines aren't met. (Remember the team is getting that land for free.)

Hey, Martin, it looks like she has more to say. 👇 👇 👇
So, this is a first in D.C. politics: Yesterday @trayonwhite shared a video on his Instagram account of a woman encouraging people to go vote. (There was some light endorsement of his message, also.) The video, though, is AI-generated.
The D.C. Council just passed an emergency bill requiring that @dcwater do more to notify tenants in multi-unit buildings if the landlord hasn't paid the water bill and that water service could be disconnected. I reported on this issue last week: 51st.news/dc-building-re…
Checked in on summer repairs at Maury Elem School today. A lot of HVAC work underway. Found several areas where water or leaks had done some damage & @DCDGS flagged for urgent repairs. We also reviewed broken locks, lights, & playground equipment getting attention.

The Fields are staying open no matter what! 👇
Good news: The Fields at RFK are staying open! Thousands of neighbors signed @charlesallen's petition, and the Commanders heard you loud and clear. The Commanders will put it in writing: the fields will stay open during construction, on game days, and for major events. (1/2)
