Even now, says the LORD, return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, and weeping, and mourning; Rend your hearts, not your garments,
This is me right now. I’m on that emotional roller coaster. I have to decide, by tomorrow to say yes or no to immediate placement into a job and agency I know nothing about. If I say no, I may get kicked off the placement program. Not fun. nytimes.com/2025/07/15/us/… via @NYTimes
So, I will need a new job before October. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Check it out, @JpLawrence3, the @nytimes went to Kaiserslautern and stopped in at Puzzles for this piece about strains on the German-American friendship. nytimes.com/2025/06/14/wor…

Polar Camels are supposed to be “high endurance,” but the lids seem to break the first time a kid drops it. $8 to replace ‘em every time seems outrageous, given how brittle they are, @jdsindustries.

Link is in the next tweet. I am uninterested in being unserious.

As Kabul was collapsing, it was my contacts in the UK Army who assisted me in getting an Afghan family into the gate controlled by 3 Para, who had rapidly deployed to assist in a crisis based in part on bad American decisions

A lot of "alpha manly men" say they cannot understand the "point" of a war where an independent people defend their country, homeland, families, and independence from a larger adversary. It's ok to say you're scared and wouldn't stand for anything. Not everyone can have balls.
The SECDEF can now make task org changes to the Southern Border and write its OERs. He couldn't do that if he only had tactical control.
Between this rhetoric and the 20-year war our European allies fought at our side until we folded and withdrew in a chaotic spectacle before the whole world, the bad guys are listening and watching—and no doubt feeling emboldened.
To the hand-wringing Europeans who felt offended by President Trump rejecting being lectured by President Zelensky: Be my guest to defend Ukraine from Putin. It is long past time for the Europeans to show they are capable of defending their own continent. They’ve allowed…
We drafted about 10 million men during WWII (versus 2.2 million during Vietnam)
I'm not sure why the VP thinks the conscription line was such a dunk. During America's most righteous and virtuous causes, we had to institute a draft (Independence, saving the Union, defeating the Nazis) because we didn't have enough volunteers.
In English, we have a word for it: cowardice.
It is impossible to understand why President Trump and Vice President Vance seem determined to put more pressure on President Zelensky while they seem to be coddling Putin - the person who inflicted this terrible war in Ukraine.
Worth noting, especially given that the US economy is nearly double that of the Eurozone
Picture: "Corrupt foreigner keeps showing up to the White House lacking the respect to wear a suit but begging Americans to subsidize him forever"
"This is called being a MAN" and it's two doughboys whining about not being thanked.
A lot of people know deep down that the Trump Admin is behaving shamefully with regard to Ukraine, but don't want to admit, even to themselves, that America is being dishonorable, so they fixate on matters of no consequence, like Zelensky's manners, to distract their consciences
