Should tell you that no other good team was in for him.
People are well within their rights to have their own opinions and debate quality levels but me? He told Amorim .. I WANT ARSENAL He told Jorge Mendes … I WANT ARSENAL He told Sporting… I WANT ARSENAL He told Saudi… I WANT ARSENAL You could never ever make me hate the…
This is what I've been saying for time. Arsenal fans rejected the developing players route (because Arteta is), so now they celebrate B-List players.
To get the best players in the world you can ONLY do it in two ways Either you sign the young and early which you don’t wanna do bc you can’t wait for players to develop Or Wait until the best becomes available which you also don’t wanna do bc you are impatient like a bitch
Let this be a lesson to all involved that the football landscape changes quickly. No "process" is owed a title. Dynasties do not collapse on schedule. You can't bide your time on the opportunity to win, because that window closes quicker than it opens.
Arsenal aged down their squad this summer. As painful as it is to hear, the underlying strategy of our recruitment policy is to be ready when City lands a brutal shock to the system (Pep leaving)... if this season was about the jugular, we'd have signed 28 yr old machete players.…
It would honestly be criminal long term to put Dowman, Nwaneri, and Lewis Skelly in the hands of a manager uninterested in attacking through the center of the pitch.
Understated how political and performative Arsenal's summer is. Bloated wage bill, lifeless football, and no trophies have severely capped recruitment quality. Shitty win now signings uphold the scapegoating central to Arteta's rhetoric. No more excuses.
This has been a mismatch through four. Usyk's vision and pivoting too sharp again.
Arsenal fans belittling trophy wins will never not be funny. If it's so easy, why can't Arteta win one?
Going to age somewhat similarly to Isak vs Vlahovic
Liverpool paying €80m for Hugo Ekitike that scored 15 Goals Arsenal paying €62m for Gyokeres who scored 51 Goals That's INSANE
Everyone conveniently ignores the fact that Isak scored 17 NPG in La Liga the season prior tbf. He was certified.
Never forgetting when Newcastle spending a good amount of money on Isak was questioned because he'd just come off a 6 goal league season with a -4.2 NPG underperformance. Two 20+ goal league seasons since then. Sometimes, time and stable environments are important.
In honor of these 2 being on the same card I have to bring this gem back😭
Ekitike has stilts for legs, is faster than every defender, brings the ball down from the sky under pressure like a magnet, and creates his own shots out of nothing. Some of the most fun I've had watching a forward in the Bundesliga
Thoughts on ekitike?
he was supposed to free up our team to take more risks. instead we've doubled down on our risk aversion and played him at #10 lol
unbelievably good player. Rice is a phenomenal player but if Arteta keeps using him like he's KDB in a fixed high 8 position it's a puzzling signing for the money tbh. Especially when Wirtz went for £116 and is a proper 8/10. Hopefully Rice is used in a double pivot with Zubi
