I hope everyone crying about Murphy’s plan to raise the NFA tax from $0 to $4709 realizes there’s been nothing stopping them from raising it from $200. Changing the amount of a tax has always been allowed under reconciliation.
Democrats have put forth an amendment to the Appropriations Bill to raise the NFA tax to $4709. While unlikely to make it through a Republican majority, this is a threat that cannot be taken lightly. Gun grabbers have fully committed to pricing you out of your rights.
