This was the beginning of an all-time great wrestling angle between Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage that aired in October of 1987. The story lasted over a year, culminating in a match at WrestleMania 5 in 1989. And because it didn't air live, they edited it beautifully.
Think about all the other wrestlers who never made wrestling bigger like Hogan did: Nick Bockwinkle, Verne Gagne, Haystacks Calhoun, Bruno Samartino, Killer Kowalski...Bruiser Brody..it was Hogan/McMahon who took it to the level. Nobody could do it.
