And much of the issue on Canal Street is the placard corruption. It will be hard to calm traffic and find a place for all of those illegally parked placard cars, to go -- city doesn't want to deal with headache. Placard corruption is dangerous.

So much rubbish. FDNY is part of the planning and the biggest obstacle to FDNY operations is cars, trucks & the traffic they create. This same old trope gets pulled out every time someone doesn't like a #bikenyc lane. It's false.
